This chapter holds Brothers from New Haven, West Haven, North Haven, Wallingford, Hamden, Bridgeport and New Britain. Since its inception, the Greater New Haven Alphas have stood fast to uphold the aims of our beloved Fraternity- Manly Deeds, Scholarship, and Love of All Mankind. For over 50 years, the Eta Alpha Lambda chapter has impacted the community through scholarship, activism, mentoring, and social and networking events.

ALPHA ESSAY SCHOLARSHIP CONTEST
Graduating seniors from New Haven and Hamden Public High Schools, who are attending a four-year college or university, compete to receive a monetary book award based on essays they submit. The recipient is honored at our Annual Juneteenth Celebration.Awards

The Eta Alpha Lambda Chapter of ALPHA PHI ALPHA Fraternity, Incorporated was founded on June 25th, 1957, in New Haven, Connecticut and is known as the 256th House of Alpha. The charter members are: Bro. George Conquest, Bro. Edward Goins, Bro. Theo Pedigru, Bro. Henry Francis, Bro. William Tyson, Bro. Richard Flooriet, Bro. William Marcellus, Charles Kibner, and Bro. Earl Williams.
