ONECA District Conference 2011
Responsibility & Reclamation
November 18-19, 2011
Hartford, CT
Greetings Brother
This year marks ONECA's 39th Annual District Conference! On behalf of the 39th Annual ONECA District Conference Committee and Brothers of ONECA, I bring warm fraternal greetings. Welcome back to this great fraternal year. We've seen growth over the past year with the transitioning of our newly elected leadership, growing pains, new ventures and the continued effort to being the mighty force that will be dedicated to Scholarship, Manly Deeds and Love for ALL Mankind.
This year's theme and vision for 2011-2012: "Responsibility & Reclamation "will be our mantra during this year's district conference. Last year, it was refreshing to see brothers engaged not only in the sessions, but networking at breaks, during the luncheon and other informal moments. It is amazing what you can learn from
conversations with other brothers. Getting a perspective from someone outside of the situation can be invaluable however, we have been privileged with some of the Nation's most intellectual individuals- Brothers of ONECA. Just the other day a colleague mentioned a suggestion that just blew me away (some days it doesn't take much) but she presented a perspective I hadn't even thought of. And it made all the sense in the world, and would be a great benefit to our district. It was the engagement of conversation that allowed me to have a revelation and we didn't even have a problem. It's one of my fundamental beliefs that people need contact, face to face, one on one, to glean knowledge from others. Here's to hoping you have conversations today, tomorrow and beyond that enlighten, challenge and assist you in your experiences.
I challenge the leadership of ONECA to exceed our registration by 50% this year which shouldn't be such a huge task. Please join us at this year's conference! Take advantage of our early bird specials and log onto our website to register.
Fraternally submitted,
Bro. Brandon McGee Jr.
